The 1960s or Sixties in the USA is referred by some historians as a Social Revolution. It was a time of the Vietnam War, civil rights movements, assassinations, and the beginning of a generation gap. A slogan used during this time was Flower Power which was a symbol of passive resistance and nonviolence.
