Bennie Brookshire loves his job. After working with the city police, and being part of the K-9 team in Henderson County, his job as school resource officer was a breath of fresh air. But times change when he finds himself in the crosshairs of a dangerous mysterious local hit man - and he doesn't know why someone is out to kill him. In the cluster of small towns that help Bennie get a paycheck, dangerous plots are afoot, and Deputy Brookshire is just trying to survive. Local secrets and politics make the SRO a moving target throughout this cluster of small towns, and it's up to Bennie and his cohorts to get to the bottom of a sinister business venture - or Bennie and company might just find themselves down a deputy or two.
