About

In 1963, I was a young entertainer desperate to break out of the self-imposed monotony of small-town life.  I wanted to flee from the factory life that threatened to enslave me. I was a young writer and folk singer without a clue as to what to do with my life. So, I wrote it down.

A Tom Sawyer story for the 20th century. The narrative follows a coming-of-age tale set during the folk-singing era of the 1960s. A young poet and writer finds his path to success as a folk singer and writer, seeking refuge from the limitations of his small Ohio town and his job at a glass factory. The story chronicles the remarkable experiences of a young folk trio as they navigate the turbulent period between 1963 and 1965. They are driven by aspirations for love and fame while trying to avoid exploitation in the music industry.
